I’m an English yacht chef, working on a 55’ catamaran in the British Virgin Islands. I’ve been working here for 3 years on various boats and I thought it might be fun, and hopefully interesting to other people if I wrote about some of my recipes and a bit about this job and lifestyle plus logging my discoveries of new recipes and my attempts at creating or re-creating them.
I have a little professional training, but although my job title is chef and my guests always rave about the meals I make for them, I would describe myself more as a professional cook who is extremely enthusiastic and excited about food. My biggest enthusiasm is for chocolate, cakes and sweets in general. Dessert is my favourite part of any meal.
